Customs Brokerage

You can use Mercury not only for shipping, but also for customs clearance

In the U.S., we act as your customs broker through Mercury Customs Brokerage Services LLC. For exports and non-U.S. entries, we coordinate with trusted partner customs brokers worldwide so your documentation and clearances stay consistent end-to-end.

Use Mercury Just for Customs

Already have a carrier or forwarder? No problem. You can engage Mercury solely as your U.S. customs broker. We’ll coordinate with your chosen carrier, handle the entry, and keep you updated until release.

Why Mercury?

We specialize in healthcare and life sciences—which means we understand the specifics of importing reagents, biological samples, and human specimens. Our team knows the documentation and agency requirements these shipments trigger (e.g., FDA/CDC/USDA), and we plan clearances to minimize delays for time-sensitive materials.

What We Handle

  • U.S. import customs brokerage (Mercury Customs Brokerage Services LLC)

  • HTS/Schedule B classification and duty & tax guidance

  • EEI filings (when required) and Incoterms support

  • FDA/USDA/CDC permits and other agency documentation

  • Exception management for holds, exams, and inspections

How to Use Us

  1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA) to appoint Mercury Customs Brokerage Services LLC as your U.S. customs broker.

  2. Send shipment details (commercial invoice, packing list, HS description, carrier info).

  3. We file and monitor your entry, resolve issues, and notify you on release.

  4. If you’d like, Mercury can also manage the shipping—but it’s not required.
